Abstract:
Despite that the determination of trace iron by o-phenanthroline spectrophotometry is a classical instrumental analysis experiment, it fails to meet the demands of talent training in the new era due to limited knowledge and operation skills. This paper introduces the experiment of using Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) to evaluate the content of reducing substances in beverages. Drawing absorption curve and standard working curve and other experiment links are conducive to improving the abilities of students to comprehensively use various analytical methods and experimental operation technology, cultivating their innovative thinking and ability to deal with practical problems, providing a better understanding of the practical application of analytical chemistry in human life, and laying a solid foundation for their scientific research in the future.
