Abstract:
A measuring platform is designed and developed for ice motion trajectory under the condition of ice-propeller interference, which can measure the underwater ice’s state of motion in its free state, and enrich the experimental research methods of ice-propeller interaction in the process of ice-propeller interference. The platform was used to carry out propeller model experiments under different conditions, such as propeller’s advance coefficient, incoming flow velocity and size of ice. The movement tracks of ice blocks under various working conditions are measured, and when the ice was putted at the same position in front of the propeller, the displacement and velocity changes of ice in the
x-axis and z-axis directions are analyzed. It is found that the results are consistent with the actual situation. Experiments show that the platform has the characteristics of simple equipment installation and good measurement stability in the test, and it can provide good support for the subsequent experimental teaching of underwater object motion trajectory measurement.
