Abstract:
Separation based on azeotropes is a difficulty in chemical separation engineering, therefore the vapor-liquid equilibrium reactor is employed to measure the vapor-liquid equilibrium data and azeotropic point of the safe and environmental friendly N-propyl alcohol-water binary azeotropic system. The Wilson model is regressed by least square method and the thermodynamic consistency test is established for the activity coefficient model of azeotropic system. The theoretical knowledge of chemical thermodynamics, instrumental analysis, mathematical statistics and other professional courses should be flexibly applied in the data analysis and processing. Via this experiment, students are able to master the method of measuring the vapor-liquid equilibrium data of chemical thermodynamics, understand the thermodynamic characteristics of azeotropic system, and strengthen the ability of combining theoretical knowledge with practical application of chemical thermodynamics.
