Micro-CT and Its Application in Plant Research

  • 摘要: 微CT技术已成为医学和生物等领域重要的研究手段,但在植物和农林科学领域的应用才刚刚起步。为了让植物和农林领域研究人员能更充分、灵活地运用微CT技术,提高仪器应用效果,拓展仪器使用需求,该文介绍了微CT技术基本原理、样品制备和分析流程。最后以稻谷为例,应用Mimics软件分析断层图,并开展三维重组和结构分析。该文可为科研工作者利用微CT技术分析植物样本提供参考,以便更好地服务于教学和科研工作。

     

    Abstract: Micro computed tomography (micro-CT) has become a crucial research tool in the medical and biological fields, but it is just starting to be applied in the area of plant, agriculture and forestry science. In order to enable micro-CT method more fully and flexibly application in the area of plant, agriculture and forestry science, as well as improve the application performance and develop the potential demands of the instrument, this article introduces the fundamental principle, sample preparation and analysis procedures during micro-CT application. Finally, by using the rice grain as an example, cross-section image analysis, 3D reconstruction and structure analysis of rice grain were carried out in Mimics software. This paper can provide a reference for researchers to analyze plant samples by using micro-CT technology, so as to better serve the teaching and scientific research work.
