Abstract: Chemistry laboratory in colleges and universities is an important base for teaching and scientific research activities, and it is also one of the most prominent places for safety hazards in colleges and universities. Based on the typical cases of chemistry laboratory safety accidents in colleges and universities, this paper analyzes the causes of accidents and management measures, and puts forward the safety management content of chemistry laboratory in colleges and universities, that is, the safety management of human behavior, the safety state management of objects, the safety condition management of the environment, and the safety operation management of the management mechanism. According to the current situation of laboratory safety management in colleges and universities, combined with the relevant national laws and regulations, departmental regulations and standards, the rules and regulations and safety codes of chemistry laboratory are strictly formulated, so as to truly realize the safety management. We should earnestly safeguard the life and property safety and physical and mental health of university chemistry laboratory personnel.
