Abstract: In view of the limitations existing in both the experimental and the simulation methods used in conducting an injection mold dismantling and assembly experiment, a new method combined with experiments and simulations was suggested to reform the teaching model in this paper. With the introduction of the virtual simulation projects and the online teaching and management platform, based on data driven, a online operation system for experimental teaching process was built with preparations of class, operations of simulation, all-round evaluations for individuals, and online interactions, etc. can be implemented. The new teaching reform contributes to fulfill a uniform standard of the course and the evaluation mechanism characterized by objectiveness, accuracy, and comprehensiveness, which will undoubtedly enhance the teaching performance and efficiency. The reform of teaching was also proved by actual practice with a good result.
