Abstract:
The laboratory aerobic composting system has the characteristics of small scale and easy to operation. However, due to its small scale, it is difficult to successfully simulate the composting process in the laboratory. The small-scale aerobic composting system is susceptible to external conditions, such as low spontaneous heat production and large heat loss, causing the temperature to be unable to rise or to fail to reach the optimum temperature (50~60 ℃) required for composting. Temperature is the most direct and reliable operating parameter in composting process. The composting system automatically monitors the composting temperature, ventilation, and CO
2 emission, and is controlled by setting programs, especially when the temperature cannot meet the requirements of the composting process, it starts automatic heat supplementation and ventilation control, so that the composting process can proceed smoothly and avoid experimental failures.
