Abstract: Under the background of specialty adjustment of the college, in order to achieve comprehensive and great development of geological laboratory, this paper analyzes the current situation of experimental resources and management of geological laboratory, and puts forward reasonable planning and reform research of the laboratory. This paper explores from five aspects: the improvement and establishment of laboratory rules and regulations, the integration and reorganization of experimental resources, the cultural construction of the laboratory, the optimization of experimental teaching of new majors, and the opening management of the laboratory, and has achieved some results. It is expected that through the reform and research, the geological laboratory can meet the needs of discipline development and personnel training after specialty adjustment.
