Abstract:
Signal sampling is one of the main challenges in teaching digital signal processing course. Aiming at the lacks of experimental, higher-order thinking training and other problems in the existing teaching, we carry out the reform and practice of signal sampling teaching based on the concept of outcome-based education concept for engineering certification. According to the connotation of the course objectives supported by signal sampling, we reconstructed the teaching contents including “mathematical description → mathematical modelling → model implementation → engineering application”, developed online and offline teaching materials based on “Mosoteach Software” and “Pocket Lab”, and implemented the new teaching mode of “BOPPPS + Pocket Lab”. The results of teaching practice show that students have a good teaching effect as they deeply understand and apply the knowledge related to signal sampling, and at the same time, their higher-order thinking patterns, e.g. modelling, analysis, design, et al., are trained in learning.
