Construction and Practice of Virtual Simulation System for Temporomandibular Disorders

  • 摘要: 本研究旨在构建颞下颌关节紊乱病虚拟仿真教学系统,并探讨其在口腔颌面外科实验教学中的应用效果。研究采集颞下颌关节患者的锥形束CT和核磁共振成像数据,利用Unity 3D平台和Visual Studio开发虚拟仿真系统。系统包括关节紊乱病典型模型、关节灌洗术、知识考核三大模块。学生使用后完成问卷意见收集及理论考核。实验教学应用后,学生对虚拟仿真系统的满意度高,理论考核平均分较对照组高(P = 0.456),调查问卷结果显示85%−93%的学生认为系统易于操作、有助于活跃课堂气氛、能够加深对临床操作的理解,建议将系统纳入实验教学课程。虚拟仿真教学系统能够提高学生对颞下颌关节紊乱病实验教学的学习兴趣和积极性,提升理论知识学习效果,促进学生临床思维和操作技能的培养,为口腔颌面外科实验教学提供创新性的技术支撑。

     

    Abstract: The purpose of this study is to construct a virtual simulation teaching system for temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and explore its application effectiveness in oral and maxillofacial surgery experimental teaching. The research collected computer tomography scans and magnetic resonance imaging data from TMD patients and developed a virtual simulation system using the Unity 3D platform and Visual Studio. The system consists of three major modules: typical models of joint disorders, joint lavage procedures, and knowledge assessments. Students used the system and completed a questionnaire to provide feedback and a theoretical assessment. After applying the experimental teaching, students expressed high satisfaction with the virtual simulation system. The average score of the theoretical assessment is higher than that of the control group (P = 0.456). Survey results indicated that 85%−93% of the students found it easy to operate, believed it enhanced classroom engagement, deepened their understanding of clinical procedures, and recommended its inclusion in the experimental teaching curriculum. The virtual simulation teaching system enhances students’ interest and enthusiasm in TMD experimental teaching, improves the effectiveness of theoretical knowledge learning, fosters clinical thinking, and improves practical skills, and provided innovative technological support for experimental teaching in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
