Abstract:
With the rapid development and widespread application of medical imaging technology, the demand for ultrasound diagnostic talents with professional skills in the healthcare industry has been steadily increasing. However, traditional ultrasound teaching faces challenges such as the disconnection between theory and practice and the shortage of equipment, necessitating innovative teaching approaches. This paper designs and implements an ultrasound virtual teaching system based on the Unreal Engine, aiming to provide an immersive simulation learning environment for both teachers and students. The system adopts a C/S architecture, with the front end using the Unreal Engine for 3D visualization, physical simulation, and human-computer interaction design, and the back end employing MySQL for user data storage. The system comprises five main modules: basic principles, imaging workflow, equipment classification, image quality evaluation, and assessment, covering all aspects of ultrasound knowledge. By integrating advanced virtual reality technology with ultrasound teaching, the system restores real diagnostic scenarios, demonstrates the ultrasound imaging process through 3D animation, and offers an immersive learning experience. It helps cultivate students’ clinical thinking and practical skills, injecting new vitality into the training of medical imaging talents.
