Abstract:
Based on the virtual experiment platform, students select typical ships with different wave-resistant characteristics as learning objects, and independently carry out the adjustment of the center of gravity and mass moment of inertia of the model by “trial and error” teaching method, simulate the process of box-type wave-making to complete the generation and calibration of irregular waves, observe the real scene of the ship model responding to the motion in the wave and collect motion data synchronously. Independently process data, conduct response analysis, and upload experimental reports. The virtual experiment breaks through the limitations of infrastructure equipment such as pools and wave makers in the teaching of ship wave resistance experiments, enabling students to independently complete the process of experimental preparation, phenomenon observation, data collection and analysis, and improving students' ability to apply knowledge and innovation.
