Discussion and Practice on the Colloidal Properties Experiment of Iron Hydroxide

摘要: 对物理化学实验中所用Fe(OH)3胶体的制备及纯化方法等问题进行了详细、深入的探讨,介绍了该实验的测定方法和测定结果。以尿素络合水解法制取氢氧化铁胶体,采用透析袋对其纯化,选择与胶体相同电导率的氯化钾及盐酸混合溶液作辅助液,能较好地解决传统实验中过程学生操作烦琐、电动电势值测定不准确等问题。Abstract: The preparation and purification in the experiment of Fe(OH)3 colloid electrophoresis had been discussed in detail. This experimental determination method was introduced and the result as: iron hydroxide colloid was prepared with iron chloride and urea by the fast hydrolysis. Then, we used the dialysis bag to purify colloid. HCl+KCl mixture solution with the same conductivity of colloid had been chosen. ζ-potential values were obtained accurately and repeatable, this method was simple and also suitable for students.
