Abstract:
Experiment system for cuttings transportation in reverse circulation of pump-injection, is designed and developed. This system includes mud pump, mud tanks, valve group controlling the circulation directions, simulate wellbore, simulate drill pipe strings, simulate bit, cuttings cylinder, circulation tubular and testing devices. Comparative experiments of normal and reverse circulation can be done using this system. Using water as drilling fluid, cuttings transportation experiments were carried out using six kinds of quartz sands with different particle sizes, the minimum pump ratio was tested respectively, and the experimental basis was provided for reverse circulation drilling of pump-injected. A good experiment platform is provided for the undergraduate students’ experiment teaching, science and technology innovation and postgraduate students’ science research.
