Abstract: Animal and plant specimens making contest of college students in Liaoning province is sponsored by the provincial education department,it is one of the ten college students innovation and entrepreneurship competition activities.The data of contest scale and winning proportion based on the samples of 2011 to 2014 year were counted,illustrating that the specimen contest has become the greater influence events in Liaoning province.The experiences of Liaoning Normal University from the situation of contestants and awards,the specific measures and the analysis of successful experience were summarized.The fact that the specimen contest is important to improve the comprehensive quality of college students from the ability of innovation and practice,the team cooperation consciousness and the scientific literacy was demonstrated.
