Abstract: Based on the economic development and the industrial design teaching situation,this paper analyzes the new demands of the teaching of basic engineering courses in industrial design major. To meet the new requirements and achieve new goals,according to the characteristics of students’ learning stages,the principle of setting and organizational management of courses should be reasonably grasped in practical and experimental teaching of engineering foundation course. A new experiment and practice teaching plan was investigated,so as to train students’ practice ability and innovation capability,and motivate students’ enthusiasm and creativeness.
