Abstract: Innovative thinking and inventive method is a course for college freshmen.This paper explores the cultivation of innovation ability of college freshmen in this course,and gives the practical cases presented in the actual cases in the teaching process from the three aspects of theme establishment,thinking collision and knowledge expansion respectively.Finally,it summarizes the practical experience of teaching and the concerned problems.Practice shows that freshmen through the theme establishment to enhance observation and thinking ability,cultivate the sense of innovation,through communication and discussion to develop the sense of teamwork and verbal skills,and through the summary and report writing to train innovation skills.This paper makes a useful exploration on the cultivation of college students innovative ability.
