Research of Teaching Reform on Water Treatment Microbiology Under the Background of New Engineering Education

  • 摘要: 水处理微生物学课是给排水科学与工程专业的一门理论与实验并重的专业基础核心课程。通过该课程的理论与实验教学,不仅奠定学生的微生物学理论基础,同时对开发学生创新思维及培养学生解决复杂工程问题的实战技能至关重要。在总结过去20多年水处理微生物学课教学实践的基础上,以新工科建设和工程教育认证的《华盛顿协议》为指导,坚持 “以学生为中心、以成果为导向,以理论教学改革和实验创新相融合,知行合一”,探索提高学生复杂工程问题解决能力和专业创新能力的教学改革新方案,以适应新工科建设对给排水领域人才的新要求,培养满足时代发展需要的高素质应用型新人才。

     

    Abstract: Water Treatment Microbiology is a core fundamental course of Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering focusing on the study of theories and experimental skills. The theoretical and experimental teaching of this course not only lays the theoretical foundation for students in Microbiology, but also plays an important role in developing students’ innovative thinking and training their practical skills in solving complex engineering problems. On the basis of summarizing the teaching practice of Water Treatment Microbiology in the past 20 years, guided by the goal of New Engineering Construction and the Washington Accord on engineering education accreditation system, insisting on the thought of “student-centered, outcome-based, theoretical teaching reform and experimental innovation integrated, knowledge and practice united”, this paper explores a new teaching reform scheme for improving the students’ ability to solve complex engineering problems, developing their professional innovation ability to meet the new requirements in the field of water supply and drainage under the construction of “new engineering”, and cultivating new application-oriented talents with high quality to meet the needs of the times.
