A Comprehensive Experiment Design on NiCu/Ni(OH)2 Electrocatalysts for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

  • 摘要: 基于科教融合模式,设计了电解水析氢催化剂NiCu/Ni(OH)2综合实验。采用了电化学沉积和电化学氧化的实验方法,在泡沫镍基底原位制备了一种析氢性能良好的电催化剂NiCu/Ni(OH)2。借助学院大型仪器共享平台,运用场发射扫描电镜、X射线能谱仪、X射线衍射仪以及X射线光电子能谱仪分析了电催化剂的物相信息,并运用线性扫描伏安法、电化学阻抗谱、循环伏安法和计时电位法探究了电催化剂的析氢性能。通过综合实验的训练,开阔了大学生的视野,提高了其综合实验技能和创新思维能力。

     

    Abstract: A comprehensive experiment is designed on NiCu/Ni(OH)2 electrocatalysts for the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), basing on science and education integration model. The efficient HER electrocatalyst was constructed in-situ on nickel foam substrate by electrochemical deposition and electrooxidation. Meanwhile, large instruments such as field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray energy spectrum (EDS), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were analyzed the phase information of the catalyst. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and Chronopotential potentiometry (CP) were used to investigate the hydrogen evolution reaction of the catalyst. It broadens students' vision and significantly improves students' comprehensive experimental skills and innovative thinking ability, through the experiment training.
